Tile Research: Back to the Future 2 (1989)

1) How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film?
-The movie starts out displaying a large universal studios logo and then goes on to list who created the movie. Then after a scene of the movie, It lists the title of the movie

2) What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?
There is nothing in the title sequence at first but the universal studios logo. It then goes on to play a scene which follows up with the title of the film

3) What connotations do the images carry?
-The scene the is shown makes the audience have a bit of excitement because it takes place after back to the future 1.

4) How is genre reinforced through symbolic and technical codes from outset?
-When the scene begins, it gives an idea of what the film will be about because what is going to the future without an adventure?

5) How does the film establish an enigma from the outset?
-The scene creates a enigma because it cuts off the scene, following up with title of the film

6) What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience.
-The author decides to list a scene before the title to create suspense and let the audience have a guess at what will happen later after the title scene.

7) How has technology been  used effectively? You want to consider camera angles, transitions, and editing techniques.
-Unlike the other 3 movies I already did, This one shows an actual scene, therefore camera angles are very relevant. Examples of this include a two person shot, medium shot, medium-close up, etcetera. An example of a transition used within the film can come from the very beginning where a fade out was used. This was shown when the black screen cut to the scene. An example of editing was when the scene cut between the characters speaking to each other.
